This was my first visit to Dougherty Dental, and it was a very good experience. The parking was easy, the dentist spent a lot of time with me, asking all the right questions. They had new things that I had not seen before, like scanning my teeth to get a very accurate view of them. The cleaning was good, and afterward, she gave me a hot towel, which felt wonderful! I felt listened to, respected and valued as a patient - an unusual feeling these days! More

Just back from a challenging restoration which was necessitated by collateral fallout from the pandemic and my missing almost 3 years of cleaning!Dr. Dougherty and his staff are truly amazing. Friendly, go out of their way to explain what is going on, give you plenty of mouth rests, all while performing difficult procedure, and I not experiencing any pain whatsoever, including the numbing shot.With a beautiful office and team like this the old adage that nobody wants to go to their dentist is laid to rest!Thank you so much for your genuine concerns for the patient and high level of expertise! I am new in town. Had a cracked mouth guard . Was accepted very quickly. The Doctor and staff very friendly and helpful. Great experience! Also had a very thorough comprehensive exam by Dr. Dougherty, thorough cleaning with excellent hygiene advice. Excellent care! More

I've been a patient of Dougherty Dental for 20+ years, and they continue to impress. Just this week, 12/2/2021, I went in for a cleaning with Heidi, my favorite hygienist. I mentioned I was soon to have a gum procedure. The problem was that no full mouth x-ray was current periodontist review. Heidi got up and requested approval to get one immediately. Dr. Dougherty responded within minutes, ordered the scan while I was there, and had it sent over the same day. Now that's fabulous! More

Dougherty Dental helped my mother, with dementia,  in my absence and in the presence of a care giver to receive necessary dental treatment.  They certainly could have decided not to work with Mother under the circumstances, but instead, through phone calls to me and through emails, we were able to get Mother the treatment she needed.  I applaud the Dougherty team for their humanity and professionalism More

By far the best Dentist in San Diego. Dr. Dougherty is very knowledgeable and keeps up on all the latest techniques. Recently had a crown fall off, drove right over and after a short 10 minute wait he fit me in and it 15 minutes, it was cemented by in. Dr. Dougherty and the whole staff are so friendly. I have been going here for dental services for many years now.  The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable.  Their new facility is modern and really nice.  As a patient, I feel extremely comfortable when I com here.  I also like how they have a panoramic x-ray machine on site.  No more of that archaic biting down on the films.
