Gary Stougaard: I've been a patient of Dr. Dougherty's for more than 20 years. The problem I was having is I was getting old, and my teeth were wearing out, and I had plenty of dental problems when I was young. And I grew to be kind of self conscious about my smile and my teeth and my presence. He put together a program that in less than a year, transformed my smile and my feeling about how I look in the mirror. First we saw the oral surgeon and we removed my bottom wisdom teeth, which had not been a problem, but we'd talked about it for years and they were starting to crowd my front teeth and they were sort of pushing my front teeth in, this was really the catalyst for this entire procedure. Well, my bite's changed, the way I eat food has changed, but it's all for the better. And now they feel like mine and, I hope they look like mine, and I really have nothing but great things to say about the entire process. My only regret is not having done it 15 years earlier.
